Due to drought, low soil fertility, little rain fall, elevated levels of evapotranspiration, salinization the and a lack ground water, problem desertion agricultural areas has developed in KSA recent years (e.g. Tabuk region). In Saudi Arabia, land abandonment’s negative impact on composition perennial vegetation, quality, structure population was investigated. several abandoned fields research region, eleven species plants pertaining nine families, genera were found. Following use ordination detrended correspondence analysis (DCA), four plant communities Zygophyllum hamiense, Prosopis farcta, Seidlitzia rosmarinus, Traganum nudatum. The indicators Pulicaria undulate, Calligonum comosum. Populations comosum hamiense found be either negatively skewed or inversely J-shaped, indicating fast-growing populations with strong reproductive potential, according demographic research. nudatum, farcta S. Rosmarinus, other hand, have nearly symmetrical size-frequency distribution (like bell shape). current highlights importance managing deserted order restore improve range lands having adapted native regional conditions like water demand.
